Cauldron’s Court is one of our most popular displays and is designed as a town square with room for 5 buildings. A cobblestone pathway leads you up past each of the buildings on one side, then down to the other side. n the center of the display with the stone wall as the backdrop, there is a small cemetery. Using the concept from our “Open Grave Cemetery” display, there are 5 graves, each of which can assume one of 4 positions:

1: The grave is open. The walls and bottom of the graves are painted with a brown earth tone. You can pile a bit of the dark brown ground cover next to the grave to make it look as though it has just been dug up. Or you can put a small amount of the other ground cover into the bottom of the grave to make it look like it has been dug up for a while.

2: Someone has just been buried. Using the insert that has been painted with the brown earth tone, place the insert into the grave, and cover it over with some of the darker brown ground cover. Make a little mound on top. This makes it look like someone has just been buried (like you see in the movies). Of course no one stays buried forever in this cemetery.

3: Make the grave disappear. Using the insert that has been painted with the green earth tone, place the insert into the grave, and cover it over with some of the mixed ground cover. This will make the grave disappear so that you can use this space for other accessories.

4. Place one of the posable skeleton into the grave, and make it look like the skeleton is crawling out. Fill most of the grave with the ground cover to make it look incredible.

You can use the graveyard for a courtyard instead. Simply place the grave insert into each grave, cover over with the extra grace, and the graves disappeats. Now the area con be resued for something else.

Features of this Halloween display platform include:

  • The ground cover is green with seasonal fall colors blended in (reds, orange, yellow, brown, and tan). An extra amount of the ground cover and each accent color is included with the set so you can customize the amount of fall colors that you want on the ground.
  • The pathways, staircases, walls, and area around the building are all hand-carved.
  • There are 3 elevations to the display. The first 2 buildings closest to the front is at the lowest elevation. The buildings in the corners are at the middle elevation, and the building in the center is at the highest.
  • Along the front of the display, a stone wall. This is a common feature to all of our display platforms.
  • Between the cobblestone sidewalk and the front staircase are 4 locations for lampposts. Just like the battery packs on the accessories, we have a wonderful method for displaying the lamppost that keeps them nice and secure
  • This is a 1 piece display

Please Note: Our displays are shown with Dept 56 and Lemax Spookytown building and accessories. However buildings and accessories are just for presentation purposes only. No Dept 56 or Lemax Spookytown items are include with the platforms unless otherwise noted. As a reference, we used the following Dept 56 buildings and accessories: Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow, Be Witching Costume Shop, LaGhosti Movie Theater, Witchs' Brew Pub, and Helga's House Of Fortunes.

If you like the display, but would like something changed, please let us know. We can customize any of our displays.

Cauldron's Court Without Halloween Dept 56 Buildings

The picture above shows the Cauldron's Court display platform. No buildings or accessories are sold with the platform.

CAuldron's Court Halloween Village Dept 56

Except for the first photo, all the rest of the photos shows what the platform could look like with your own buildings and accessories added to it.

Starting from the front left corner we have the Dept 56 Hair Today Gone Tomorrow, Grimsly's House of Oddities, LaGhosti Movie Theater, Zelda's Wave Museum, and Bewitching Costume Shop. We used two sets of the Dept 56 Pumpkin street lights across the front along with pumpkins and other accessories for the graveyard.

We used our October Night backdrop. This backdrop is available in our Halloween backsrop section (http://www.landscapedisplays.com/Backdrops%20Main.html)

Halloween Dept 56 Cauldron's Court

Here we see the Dept 56 Grimsly's House of Oddities, and the LaGhosti Movie Theater in the background. We used some trees from Scenic Express (www.scenicexpress.com) and some accessories from both Dept 56 and Lemax. On the right side we have a skeleton coming out of the grave. On the left side is one of the Dept 56 coffins half way into the grave. It is hard to see because of the light. In the middle is a coffin from crazybone design.

Left side of the display. The Dept 56 Hair Today Gone Tomorrow building is up front on the left, Grimsly's House of Oddities in the rear alongside the LaGhosti Movie Theater. Each of these buildings are on a different elevation with stairs and cobblestone pathways connecting them.

Far Back Center Halloween Cauldron's Court

The Dept 56 LaGhosti Movie Theater, which is in the back center of the display. We used some Dept 56 accessories around it. Also pictured is the back potion of the graveyard.

Right Side of the display showing the Dept 56 LaGhosti Movie Theater on the left, Zelda's Wave Museum in the back corner, and the Bewitching Costume Shop in the front right side. Again, a mixture of Dept 56 and Lemax accessories are shown.

GRaveyard Halloween Dept 56

Here is a close-up of the right side of the graveyard. On the left side of the picture of a black coffin made by scareybone designs. Next to that is a grave with a lot of dirt piles on top, as if someone was just buried. Next to that is a skeleton rising from the grave.

Dept 56 Halloween Cauldron's Court Full View

Here we have another view of the front, but this time we changed out one of the buildings, and a few of the accessories.

Cauldron's Court Graveyard Dept 56 Halloween

We changed out the black coffin for a white coffin. We also added some fence and posts along the back wall. The fence is two inches tall painted brown, and the company who made the fense post are unfortunately no longer making them.

Side View Halloween Graveyard Dept 56

Another view of the graveyard. Here we see a better picture of the Dept 56 coffin half way into the grave (or halfway out of the grave depending upon your point of view). We also switched out the LagGhosti Movie Theater for the Dept 56 Critter's Pets and Pelts.

Another pictures of the graveyard, and the Dept 56 Critter's Pets and Pelts behind it.
