Open Grave Cemetery Extended Version

Halloween Display Platform

Open Grave Cemetery Extended display platform

In stock and ships in one day

This isn’t your typical graveyard. With 3 levels and an innovated design, you can create an incredible Halloween graveyard scene. The stone walls of the various levels make a great backdrop for the tombstones (see pictures), and there is enough room for several small buildings such as the All Saints Church and the Mordecai Mould Undertaker’s House or one large building such as the Tombstone Factory.

The most innovative feature, and it is where this display platform gets its name, the display has open graves spread throughout the 3 levels so that you can choose where you want the open graves to be.(the open graves you don’t want to use can easily be hidden). The open graves are actually carved into the display. Each grave can assume one of 3 positions:

Position 1: The grave is open. The walls and bottom of the graves are painted with a brown earth tone. You can pile a bit of the dark brown ground cover next to the grave to make it look as though it has just been dug up. Or you can put a small amount of the other ground cover into the bottom of the grave to make it look like it has been dug up for a while. Also, you can place a coffin or skeleton in the grave for a great feature.

Position 2: Someone has just been buried. Using the insert included with the platform, place the insert into the grave, and cover it over with some of the dark brown ground cover. Make a little mound on top. This makes it look like someone has just been buried (like you see in the movies). Of course no one stays buried forever in this cemetery.

Position 3: Make the grave disappear. Place the insert into the grave, and cover it over with some of the green ground cover. This will make the grave disappear so that you can use this space for other accessories.

Position 4: Out for a stretch. Place a skeleton in the grave and bend his arms like he is climibing out, or place a coffin in the grave (angle it part way in or place it entirely in).

With the flexibility of having different types of graves (some open, some where someone has been freshly buried, and others hidden), in addition to the stone walls as the backdrop and your own graveyard accessories, you create a truly unique cemetery display.

Other features of this display piece include:

  • Along the front of the property, a retaining wall divided by 2 staircases. On top of the wall is a perfect location for a fence (fence not included, just a suggestion). This front wall is one of the common features to all of our displays in this series.
  • Between the cobblestone sidewalk and the front staircases are 4 locations for lampposts. Just like the battery packs on the accessories, we have a wonderful method for displaying the lampposts that keeps them nice and secure.
  • One of the best features: Under the display, electrical raceways are designed in, which allows the electrical wires for the accessories to run under the display, and out of view.
  • This is a 1 piece display

f you like the display, but would like something changed, please let us know. We can customize any of our displays.

The Open Grave Cemetery (16" wide) is a smaller version of this display platform
