Display platforms tips for Dept 56, Lemax, and other villages
We designed our platforms so the wiring for the buildings and accessories are hidden from view, keeping the magical appearance of your village intact. The wiring for the buildings and accessories goes through holes in the platform, out the bottom, and along the sides or back. Our display stands (think of them as risers) allows the plugs and battery packs to be conveniently located under the platform instead of coming out the back or sides. The stands are four inches tall, sits on top of your table or counter, and your platform sits on top of the stands. The stands are $2.50 each. For larger displays such as the Cauldron's Court Expanded or the Candy Cane Lane Expanded, we strongly suggest purchasing the stands.
The skirting wraps around the base of the platform and hides the stands, plugs and wires from view. It gives your platform a more finished look. The skirting is five inches tall, wraps around the front and sides of the platform, and gets pinned to the base of your platform using straight pins (not included). Having all of your plugs and accessories connected to an outlet strips, you'll have easy access to turning on and off your plugs and battery packs.

Below are pictures of the fabric we make our skirting from. Unfortunately some patterns available one year is not available the next, so we may not have all patterns in all sizes.
