When it comes to Halloween, nothing can beat what a farm has to offer: pumpkins, corn stalks, mums, hay bales, apple cider, and much more. It’s great to see the farmers creating a market place on their farms and selling fall produce directly to the community. Some really takes it to the extreme by offering haunted hay rides and haunted corm mazes.

This display is designed for the either set of the farmhouse & barn (Dept 56 Spooky Farmhouse and Haunted Barn or Screech Owl Farmhouse and Dept 56 Screech Owl Farm) .

Features of this Halloween display platform include:

• Starting from the front staircase, a gravel pathway winds around the farmhouse, continues on past the corn field, then up and around the barn. Usually we would have carved the pathway in a cobblestone pattern, but the gravel pathway looks more appropriate for a farm.
• Between the farmhouse a barn, an innovative cornfield. This display comes with 6 sections of corn stalks. The cornfield has thin grooves cut into it where the corn sections can be placed. The corn sections are plastic and do not always remain flat. Because of this, we cut groves into the cornfield so the sections can be inserted into it and kept flat. If you want to put an accessory in the middle of the cornfield, like the water tower we used, you can put 3 sections of corn on each side. If you are not going to use any accessories, you can place 3 sections across and 2 rows deep. You can also not use the cornfield sections, and use the area for a pumpkin patch as well.  
• On the left side of the farmhouse, on the right side of the barn, and in the middle of these two building, are perfect places for your accessories. If your accessory use a battery pack or a plug, we have a wonderful method for hiding the wires and the battery pack.  
• On the inside of the path, a perfect place to setup a market or farm stand. In the picture we used a market stand from one of the winter series and covered over the white bottom with a bit of the ground cover. 
• Between the cobblestone sidewalk and the front wall are 4 locations for lampposts. Just like the battery packs on the accessories, we have a wonderful method for displaying the lampposts that holds the lampposts in place.

As with all of our Halloween displays:

• The ground cover is green with seasonal fall colors blended in (reds, orange, yellow, brown, and tan). An extra amount of the ground cover and each accent color is included with the display so you can customize the amount of fall colors that you want on the ground.
• One of the best features: The electrical wires for the buildings and accessories run under the display, and out of view.
